Find your frame
Yap Slap uses the front camera on a compatible iPhone to recognize facial expressions and turn them into game controls. Before you start, make sure your face is clearly visible.
Good lighting helps. Avoid strong light behind you and keep the phone steady while you follow the setup prompts.
Start comfortably: give yourself room to move your face without leaving the frame.
Calibrate before you battle
Calibration helps you learn how the app responds to your expressions. Follow the prompts on screen and take your time with each step.
If tracking feels inconsistent, check the lighting and your position before trying again.
Practice one move at a time
Start a local match against a bot. Learn movement and attacks separately, then combine them once the controls feel comfortable.
When you are ready, invite a friend to a private duel or explore the online modes. The wiki explains the rules and differences between each mode.
