Before you write

The wiki covers setup, calibration, game modes and safety controls. For a technical issue, tell us your iPhone model, iOS version, app version and what happened.

Please do not send Apple passwords, verification codes, sign-in tokens or payment-card details. Use an in-app report for inappropriate player content instead of emailing intimate images. Support cannot sign in to your Apple Account for you.

Camera, calibration and the first battle

Press PLAY to start the initial preparation. If calibration is missing, complete its steps first, then play the Yap-versus-Slap test battle using face controls. Finish the battle and take part actively; winning is not required. Leaving early does not complete the tutorial.

If you cannot see the camera, check Yap Slap’s camera permission in iOS Settings, return to the app and try again. Use a supported physical iPhone with your face visible and evenly lit. You can repeat calibration from the game’s settings. Camera access for controls is different from consenting to transmit video to another player.

After offline training, reconnect to let the game confirm its saved result. Online play and purchases remain unavailable until the server confirms training. Follow any retry message; if the server rejects the record, the game explains that the test battle must be repeated.

Game Center and online access

Check that you are signed in to Game Center in iOS Settings, then return to Yap Slap. Online progress belongs to that game account. Changing the Game Center account can show a different profile. A new device still needs its own camera calibration.

Online profiles, online play and purchases require a confirmed age range of 13 or older. Check Age eligibility in Settings and the in-app message for parental or system restrictions, consent, camera readiness or an account restriction. A declined or unavailable age-range response permits local play only. Eligible teens aged 13–17 share Ranked matchmaking with adults. Under-13 or unknown-age players cannot use online profiles, multiplayer, live video or purchases; local practice remains available; see the game rules.

Missing purchases, restores and refunds

  1. Connect to the internet and confirm that the app shows your intended Game Center profile.
  2. Check that your test battle has been confirmed and that purchases are allowed by your device’s restrictions.
  3. If Apple shows a purchase as pending or awaiting approval, wait for its outcome before trying to buy again.
  4. For a purchased hero, use Restore purchases in the in-game store with the Apple Account used to buy it.

Currency packs are consumable. Restore purchases does not replace currency you have already spent or credit the same transaction twice. If you were charged but did not receive an item, email support with the product name, approximate purchase date, in-game display name and Apple order reference if available. Do not include payment-card details. Read Apple’s purchase restoration guidance for additional checks.

To request a refund, follow Apple’s refund instructions and sign in to reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple determines eligibility and handles the payment. A refund or revoked purchase can remove the associated item or reverse its grant in the game. Account deletion and uninstalling do not submit a refund.

Hide video, report or block a player

Use the separate hide, report and block controls in the game. Opening a report hides incoming video and can prepare available safety screenshots; you can submit a report without images. Reporting does not automatically block the player. Hiding or blocking does not erase an already started ranked result. See blocking and reporting for details.

These actions are not a surrender. A technical interruption is different from choosing to withdraw your own required Ranked transmission. Reconnecting does not remove protection, and a manual show option cannot override automatic safety restrictions. For a concern about immediate physical danger, contact the relevant emergency service; this support mailbox is not an emergency service.

Review an account restriction

  1. Open Settings → Account → Account restrictions & appeals.
  2. Read the decision and choose Appeal this decision.
  3. Explain why it should be reviewed, then choose Submit appeal.
  4. Use that screen to check status or refresh the published response.

Do not submit repeated copies of the same appeal. If the screen cannot load or you cannot reach your account, email support with the displayed restriction and your in-game name. Do not include private information about another player that is unrelated to the decision.

Delete a player account or request your data

Full automatic deletion, completion tracking and a fresh profile after deletion are not yet active on the public service. You can submit a request below or contact support. An accepted request disables access; signing out is not proof that all requested data has been removed. Contact support to check the actual status before trying to register again.

  1. Connect to your Game Center profile in Yap Slap.
  2. Open Settings and expand Account.
  3. Choose Delete player account, read the confirmation and confirm the request.

The updated deletion process is intended to finish within 24 hours of acceptance and provide a saved confirmation with processing and completion status. Its availability and the rules for progress, purchases, retained records and backups are described in our privacy policy. This does not delete your Apple Account or Game Center account. Disconnect online play and uninstalling the app are separate actions; neither asks us to delete the server account.

For an account or data request, email Support@yapslap.xyz. We may need to verify that the request concerns your account. You can ask about access, correction, deletion or the status of a pending request. A parent or guardian can use the same contact for a child’s information and applicable parental choices. Explain the request first; do not attach identity documents or a child’s date of birth to an initial email.

Privacy and permissions

Optional game analytics can be changed using Help improve Yap Slap in Settings. Website analytics has a separate Cookie settings control in the footer. Camera and notification permissions are managed in iOS Settings. Turning off camera access prevents face-controlled battles. Full details are in the privacy policy.
