Check your device

Yap Slap needs a compatible iPhone with the face-tracking capabilities used by the app. The app checks support before starting a battle. If it shows an unsupported-device message, changing camera permissions will not add the missing hardware capability.

Keep your iPhone steady and position it so the front camera can see your face. Choose an evenly lit place and avoid a bright window directly behind you.

Allow camera access

When iOS asks, allow camera access so the game can read your expressions. If you previously declined, open iOS Settings, find Yap Slap and enable Camera. Return to the app and try the setup again.

Camera access for controls and consent to share live opponent video are different choices. Face controls work on your device. Read video and consent before an online match.

Start with calibration

Follow the on-screen calibration prompts before practicing. If your face leaves the frame, reposition the phone and return to a comfortable neutral expression.

You can learn the game with local practice. Online play additionally needs an internet connection and an available Game Center account.
